| A cabal of talented, emerging writers create a plethora of material. Through alchemy and editing they summon up a cohesive evening of mischievous merriment that zigs, zags and finds a straight path to the brain, heart and lungs. This inspired collection of music, scenes, jokes, theatrical burps and dramatic hiccups will make you laugh, gasp and think. |

| Edward Cope and Othniel Marsh are feuding Paleontologists at the forefront of the Bone Wars - a race to name the most new species of dinosaurs. With the help of the ass-kicking deputy Kate, Cope pits himself against Marsh and his team of gun-thugs and geological surveyors. Throw an inept President Arthur and a Charles Darwin who eats Galapagos Finch meat with Gorgonzola cheese in the mix and you’ve got a twisted new comedy of life before the west was carbon-dated. |

| Jonah wakes up bruised, bloody and trapped in a seedy motel room on the outskirts of Winnemucca, Nevada. Big Chet’s extreme motivational tactics and a powerful encounter with a dancer named Suede Lucy compel Jonah to complete a task he cannot fathom. This darkly funny re-imagining asks, “How do three days in the belly make a man a prophet?” |

| My Father is a Tetris Game |
July 15-17, 2009
Summer Sublet Series
HERE Arts Center, New York, NY
|
 |
| My Father Is A Tetris Game is the story of a young American girl, Jotti Szillo, who travels to Russia during the cold war because she believes her dead father is communicating to her through her Tetris game. Different plot threads twist, combine, bleed, and branch off from each other as this surrealist play explores our need to find answers in a random world.
Newly inaugurated first Lady Hillary Clinton, Gemma Gammer a public access TV host, and a woman who might be Richard Nixon all play apart in the mystery of Jotti Szillo. Presented with strong images, lyrical and rich dialogue, and engaging visual projects, this surrealist tragedy is both moving and provoking. |
